First, what even is the Oura ring?
The Oura ring is a smart device ring that tracks and monitors your sleep, activity, readiness, temperature, and heart rate. One of the new features they have added (something I was really interested in!), is that they now partner with Natural Cycles (a birth control app) and because the Oura ring is constantly taking your temperature, they use that to help identify when you are fertile.

- Decide which ring you want
Not only do they have 2 different ring styles (Horizon and Heritage), but they also have 5 different colors to choose from as well (silver, gold, black stealth, and rose gold). Dependent on the ring, they DO vary in cost. This was something I definitely kept into consideration since it is not cheap (I ended up going with the cheapest ring, luckily I wanted silver anyways). The ring can range from $299-$549 depending on which color and style you choose.

Important: your sizing kit will ship first, they will send you instructions but once you get that and decide what size you need, you HAVE to update your order with your correct size so it will ship out
Pro Tip: Because the Oura Ring has sensors inside the ring I would suggest sizing up but definitely get the sizing kit just to be sure!

Overall First Impression
So far, I love my ring! The process of ordering it and setting it up was super easy, and after my first night I have already been able to get my stats. Setting it up with Natural Cycles was also easy and I’m excited to see how over time this will work. As far as packing goes, it comes in a nice box and with the charger which is actually pretty nice and sleek.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel sleeping with it on, since I never sleep with my regular rings on but it never bothered me and does feel quite comfortable. I also got the silver heritage ring (cheapest option haha) and was also worried if I would like it since it has a slight smooth side vs the horizon that is a standard circle ring. However, after wearing it I can barely even tell and definitely am glad I got this one to save money.
